Michael and I met one night at his football club. We didn't say much to each other at the football club, but we ended up meeting again later in the night. We clicked straight away and the rest they say is history.
Michael proposed at home on a beautiful wintery night in 2010. He had cooked a beautiful dinner and during dessert fell to his knee and asked me to be his wife. It is a moment I'll remember for the rest of my life. He made me the happiest girl alive, and still does till this day.
Our wedding day was perfect in every way. We often still say to each other we wouldn't change a thing about it. We both woke up so excited and we couldn't wait to see each other. The morning went smoothly for both of us, our wedding party made us feel so calm and in control. Once we both arrived at the ceremony our emotions took over. I think I had tears in my eyes the whole car ride there! The moment we saw each other is still one of the best moments of my life. The overwhelming feeling of love was incredible. The weather gods were very kind to us, being a May wedding we were prepared for the worst, but the day was perfect. Not a drop of rain in sight and the sun shone over us as we said our vows. The ceremony in the Adelaide Botanic Gardens, Rose Garden was emotional and beautiful, just as we wanted it. Our reception was held at the Crowne Plaza Adelaide. The reception area looked amazing, the attention to detail made by the staff was fantastic. Everything ran smoothly and guests still make comments about the food to this day. We both had the best time and danced the night away with our guests. We loved every part of our day, it's one we will never forget.
Our best memories would have to be seeing each other for the first time. It was a beautiful moment to share. We also loved our wedding reception where we could relax and just enjoy the atmosphere surrounded by the people we love.
Special thanks goes to our wonderful family and friends for making our wedding day so perfect. We had many guests who travelled long distances to attend our special day, and we are truly grateful. Our bridal party made our day so much easier and we couldn't have walked down the aisle without you all by our side.
