We met Ali and Ben at one of our attended Wedding Expos in 2015 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre and we were happy to be chosen by them for their wedding. Despite living in Warnnambool, they chose to celebrate their wedding in Melbourne as many of their family and friends were based there. During their Melbourne visits, we met with them and assisted in the timeline, planning and rundown of the day. We really appreciate it when we get the chance to know the couple prior to their wedding day, as this allows them to feel more comfortable, resulting in better photos. We prefer to come as a friend to a wedding and not just as a vendor supplying a service. Working together as a husband and wife team gives us the big opportunity to split up for the preparation photos and to capture separate moments with a similar style as we have now worked together for such a long time. The preparation of the bride took place at the Como Hotel in South Yarra, while the groom got ready at his parents house in Hawthorn. While Ali, her bridesmaids and mum enjoyed the luxury service at the hotel, the boys enjoyed the morning at the pool of his parents house and just got ready in time to leave with the limousine. The ceremony was held at the amazing St Ignatius Church in Richmond. We did use the old church in British style for the beginning of the portrait shooting, as well as a hidden tip of an elevated balcony from where we had a great view over Melbourne's Skyline. After this we we headed to the city to Fitzroy Gardens, to capture some nice portraits with the bridal party as well as a bit of Melbourne flair in front of the trams. The evening continued at the reception venue “Leonda by the Yarra”. We enjoyed a fantastic night during their celebration, finishing their departure with fireworks. We had an absolute memorable day with this gorgeous couple and couldn’t be happier to have such lovely people around us throughout the entire day.
